Tennis student association Passing Shot in Rotterdam is organizing a tournament which will take place in the weekend of 31th of March. We would like to go there with you! Next to playing tennis there is a beercantus, themeparty, karaoke and much more! The deadline to sign up for the tournament is the 16th of March.

On April 2nd, 1-5pm, the Anne vd Ban tournament will take place in Wageningen. All employees and students of WUR are invited to join our fundraiser. We’ll play men’s, women’s and mixed doubles. Registration closes on March 30.
All entry fees and other revenues will be donated to the Anne van den Ban Fund, which allows promising students from developing countries to follow an education at Wageningen University.
We will set up a second-hand market for used tennis gear, so if you have anything in good condition, bring it along and donate it.

The NSK is the biggest student tennis event of the year with about 500 students coming together! This is a tournament in which tennis players of every level can join. This year, TC de Uithof is organising it in Utrecht.
Obviously, tennis is the main part of this weekend but besides that there will be loads of other activities during the day and of course the best parties at night.
This year, there is an extra category called ‘Champions League’ in which our two best Walhalla members will participate. This will make for some great matches to watch!
If you’re not available all weekend but you don’t want to miss it, you can also subscribe for ‘louter bier drinken’ so you can still join for just the parties on Friday and/or Saturday!

Het Groot Nederlands Studenten Kampioenschap (GNSK) is hét grootste, jaarlijks terugkerende sportevenement voor studenten van de Nederlandse universiteiten en hogescholen. Het evenement wordt gezien als de Olympische Spelen voor studenten en zal in 2018 alweer voor de 60ste keer worden georganiseerd. Deze keer in de studentenstad Wageningen op 8, 9 & 10 juni. Het GNSK 2018 is een van de mooie evenementen in het kader van het 100-jarig bestaan van Wageningen University & Research.
Elk jaar kiest het GNSK bestuur een goed doel uit dat zij graag willen steunen. Zo gaat er elk jaar een deel van het inschrijfgeld naar het goede doel en krijgt het goede doel een kans om wat meer bekendheid te krijgen. Dit jaar hebben wij gekozen voor een goed doel dat met sport te maken heeft: Running Blind. Running Blind is voor mensen met een visuele beperking die gezond willen bewegen. Dit gebeurt onder deskundige leiding en met de hulp van enthousiaste buddy’s. De training is voor elke leeftijd en elk niveau. Voorop staat het verbeteren van de conditie in een prettige sfeer met goede onderlinge contacten. Running Blind zal ook aanwezig zijn op het GNSK en clinics verzorgen zodat anderen sporters ervaren hoe het is om als blinde te sporten. We willen zo net alleen geld doneren, maar ook mensen bewust maken.
Voor de sport tennis is GTC Walhalla verantwoordelijk voor de organisatie van de wedstrijden. De GNSKcommissie zal dit weekend aanwezig zijn en de wedstrijden in goede banen leiden. De barcommissie zal ook klaar staan om lekkere biertjes voor de supporters te tappen.

This year, the GNSK is held in Wageningen. The ‘Great Dutch Student Championship’is the biggest, annual sportevent for students of the Dutch universities and acadamies. The GNSK is also considered as the Student Olympic games and will be organised for the 60th time this year. Additionally in Wageningen at the weekend of 8, 9 and 10 June.
Every year the GNSK board chooses a charity they want to support. Subsequently a part of the entree money is donated to the charity, which gain some knowledge. This board has chosen for the sport charity Running Blind. Running Blind makes effort for people with visual restrictions, but still want to sport. Their workouts take place in company of experts and enthousiastic buddy’s. The aim is to improve the condition in a good atmosphere. Running Blind will also be present during the tournament. The board does not only wants to donate money, but also wants to create awareness.
GTC Walhalla is responsible for the organisation of the tennismatches. The GNSKcommitee will be present this weekend and guide the matches. The barcommittee will be ready to serve some beers for the supporters.

Obvius Open is an external tournament open for everyone, which takes place in Delft. The difference with other open tournament is that this tournament counts for your rating. The theme of this tournament is Apollo 11. Next to playing a lot of tennis, there are some other activities, like a Full Moon party on friday and a beercantus on saterday.
The tournament takes place on 15-17 June. The deadline to sign up is May 28th. You can use this link to sign up.
