Deze avond staat in het teken van het ontdekken van Walhalla als sport- en gezelligheidsvereniging. Kom een balletje slaan, een drankje doen, ff kletsen met het bestuur of gewoon lekker genieten van een potje beerpong. Heb je nu na de AID nog vragen over Walhalla en haar leden stel deze dan aan een van de aanwezige (bestuurs)leden. Achteraf zal er de mogelijkheid zijn om je in te schrijven als lid en zal er ook nog een borreltje gedaan worden in het clubhuis.
De avond zal om 19:30 beginnen en een echte eindtijd is er niet.
Tonight’s the first chance to experience what Walhalla has to offer in terms of a sports association. There will be a chance for you to get on court and hit some balls as well as have a drink afterwards with some of our members and our board. On Wednesday the 26th of September the external committee (ExternCie) is organizing an invitation tournament!
We will play doubles so every Walhalla member can invite a non-member friend or family member to double with against others. Any experience is not required!
Please bring an extra racket for your partner if necessary. If that’s not possible we’ll bring some more.
We will provide some snacks and drinks.
This event is also accessible to students which aren’t Walhalla member, as long as you find a double partner.
The deadline to sign up is Tuesday 25 September before 17.00 so we can create a schedule.

At wednesday the 3rd of October, Walhalla’s second open party will take place called WalFest™. The theme will be Oktoberfest, so the German beers and other good stuff will be waiting for you. So put on your Lederhose and join us is in the most wonderful sports party of the year.
The doors will be opened from 23:00-02:00. Walhalla members can come by any time. Also for members this party is free, for external people it costs 1 euro. So all come to the great WalFest™ and enjoy the German lifestyle for a night!
Every year there is one special evening in Wageningen when only Palm beer is drunk in the pubs: de Palmintocht! For this evening you buy a card/ticket which you use to drink a Palm beer in eight different pubs. You’ll only have to pay 10 euros for this card/ticket, so you drink a nice glass of Palm beer for just over 1 euro! This year the event will take place on Wednesday the 7th of November and many Walhalla members are going together. If you want to join too, don’t hesitate to send us a pm before November 1st and we’ll make sure we get you a card/ticket too!

In the first week of the academic year, there are two open evenings at Walhalla: on Monday and Thursday. If you’re interested in playing tennis or are just looking for some fun and meeting new people, you should come to our open evening!
This evening, we will play some tennis and you’ll get to feel the atmosphere of Walhalla and the bar. Because of COVID-19, the amount of people that can come to the open evening is restricted, therefore we are asking you to sign up in advance so we can regulate this. After signing up, you will get assigned to a time slot in which you can come to the Walhalla courts (so not the blue ones of the Bongerd), at the clubhouse behind the sport halls. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or an experienced player, we will keep this in mind when dividing you into groups.
The open evening is there to show you our association and to answer all your questions. Signing up for the open evening does not mean that you sign up as a member (but we hope you will do so afterwards ofcourse!).
