During racket evenings we play short tennismatches. After 30 minutes we come together and shuffle the rackets, so everyone is every round coupled to someone else. Join us to integrate with your fellow members and train your tennisskills!

From now on our racketevenings will only be with students. Afterwards we usually drink a beer with eachother. We use the courts of the NVLTB during this evening.

 

Have you enjoyed the fall double tournament? Or did you miss it and continously thinking about this activity. Good news: the 10th of January a similar tournament will be organised. The link to subscribe is comming at our website, but everybody can save the date. Besides, some students of Slow (Nijmegen) are joining too. They want to promote their open tournament SET this evening and hang out with us. So, go ask your double partner or subscribe alone (these will be coupled)

For those who does not know yet how the evening is designed: of all the subscriptions poules will be made at your own level. The evening is devided in 6 rounds of approximately 45 minutes: everyone will play 3 matches (rounds) and between the matches you are able to rest and drink something with your opponent.
This tournament does not effect on your rating.

On the 17th of January, 2018, GTC Walhalla organizes a General Members Meeting. During this meeting, we will present our members the semi-annual report, grant discharge to Yneke, Wouter and Sharine and welcome Carsten, Sarina and Axel to the board. Furthermore the treasurer will give an update about the finances, a fine for missing lessons will be discussed.

This meeting will take place in C0317 in Forum (Wageningen University & Research). We will provide drinks and some snacks. After the GMM we give members the chance to get a drink and congratulate the new board members. On thursday the 18th of January, 2018, we will host the Constitution Drink.

On the 17th of January, 2018, the board members of the Executive Board of G.T.C. Walhalla will change. To celebrate this, and give external parties the opportunity to meet the new board members, Walhalla organizes a Constitution Drink.

If you are a member of Walhalla, you are also welcome te congratulate the board and help defending our association.

Speciaal op aandringen van onze nieuwe preases gaan we eindelijk lasergamen! Er zijn meerdere guns afgehuurd voor de hele avond en de locatie wordt nog bepaald. Op deze spannende locatie kun je de strijd aangaan met je grootste tennisrivalen. We verzamelen om 20:00 bij de NVLTB en kunnen zo lang doorgaan als we willen. Trommel al je Walhallavrienden, commissiegenoten en trainingbuddies op, want het wordt legen – wait for it – dary!

At the request of our new chairman we’re finally going to play lasertag! We’ve rented multiple guns and the location will be announced on a later date. Take this chance to finally go to war with your biggest tennis-rivals. We will leave at 20:00 from the NVLTB and can lasertag as long as we like. Gather your Walhalla pals, commission members and trainingspartners, because it’s gonna be legen- wait for it -dary!

On the 17th of January, 2018, GTC Walhalla organizes a General Members Meeting. During this meeting,we will explain the necesarity of raising the training prices and re-review the budget estimation. We want to invite our members to vote about the raise and discuss the quality of the training.

March 8th. On the surface it might seem like an ordinary Thursday. We from the activities commission, however, have a different opinion. Did you know that March 8th is the birthday of two time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova? But more importantly it’s also International Women’s Day. That, in combination with the World Tennis Day (March 5th), has spurred us to organize a special Women VS Men tournament. So ladies, gather your girlfriends and come and beat those men to show them who’s boss! We of course also need men to fill the other team so come and join!

The activity will be held on Wednesday the 7th at 8 pm at the NVLTB and free of costs.

8 maart. Het lijkt misschien een normale donderdag. Wij van de accie denken daar heel anders over. Wist je bijvoorbeeld dat het de geboortedag is van 2x Wimbledon kampioene Petra Kvitova? Daarnaast is het ook de internationale dag van de vrouw. Dat, in combinatie met de wereld tennis dag op 5 maart, heeft ons aangezet tot het organiseren van een vrouwen tegen de mannen toernooi. Dus dames, verzamel je vriendinnen en laat die kerels een poepie ruiken. Heren zijn natuurlijk ook altijd welkom.

De activiteit start op woensdag 7 maart om 20.00 bij de NVLTB en is GRATIS.

On April 2nd, 1-5pm, the Anne vd Ban tournament will take place in Wageningen. All employees and students of WUR are invited to join our fundraiser. We’ll play men’s, women’s and mixed doubles. Registration closes on March 30.
All entry fees and other revenues will be donated to the Anne van den Ban Fund, which allows promising students from developing countries to follow an education at Wageningen University.
We will set up a second-hand market for used tennis gear, so if you have anything in good condition, bring it along and donate it.
