During racket evenings we play short tennismatches. After 30 minutes we come together and shuffle the rackets, so everyone is every round coupled to someone else. Join us to integrate with your fellow members and train your tennisskills!
From now on our racketevenings will only be with students. Afterwards we usually drink a beer with eachother. We use the courts of the NVLTB during this evening.
Have you enjoyed the fall double tournament? Or did you miss it and continously thinking about this activity. Good news: the 10th of January a similar tournament will be organised. The link to subscribe is comming at our website, but everybody can save the date. Besides, some students of Slow (Nijmegen) are joining too. They want to promote their open tournament SET this evening and hang out with us. So, go ask your double partner or subscribe alone (these will be coupled)
For those who does not know yet how the evening is designed: of all the subscriptions poules will be made at your own level. The evening is devided in 6 rounds of approximately 45 minutes: everyone will play 3 matches (rounds) and between the matches you are able to rest and drink something with your opponent.
This tournament does not effect on your rating.

On the 17th of January, 2018, GTC Walhalla organizes a General Members Meeting. During this meeting, we will present our members the semi-annual report, grant discharge to Yneke, Wouter and Sharine and welcome Carsten, Sarina and Axel to the board. Furthermore the treasurer will give an update about the finances, a fine for missing lessons will be discussed.
This meeting will take place in C0317 in Forum (Wageningen University & Research). We will provide drinks and some snacks. After the GMM we give members the chance to get a drink and congratulate the new board members. On thursday the 18th of January, 2018, we will host the Constitution Drink.

At the request of our new chairman we’re finally going to play lasertag! We’ve rented multiple guns and the location will be announced on a later date. SET (Slow Extern Toernooi) is het Nijmeegse open toernooi voor alle studententennisverenigingen van Nederland. Hier doen jaarlijks zo’n 200-250 studenten aan mee en naast 3 dagen tennissen zijn er ook veel activiteiten naast de baan, zoals de welbekende Beer-olympics voor teams, 2 feestavonden en natuurlijk een grote cantus. Dit jaar is het thema “Pilsen als een Piraat”. We gaan met veel drank op de loopplank, uit volle borst meezingen met de beste zeeliederen, vechten om de mooiste schat van het nachtleven en onze tenniskwaliteiten naar de haaien zien gaan. Om aan boord te komen van deze driedaagse piratencruise kun je je vanaf 21 november inschrijven als volwaardig matroos via Toernooi.nl en verzeker je je van een plekje op het dek. Dus ga op de uitkijk staan, zet deze data in je reisverslag en zorg dat je het meemaakt!

On the 17th of January, 2018, GTC Walhalla organizes a General Members Meeting. During this meeting,we will explain the necesarity of raising the training prices and re-review the budget estimation. We want to invite our members to vote about the raise and discuss the quality of the training.

March 8th. On the surface it might seem like an ordinary Thursday. We from the activities commission, however, have a different opinion. Did you know that March 8th is the birthday of two time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova? But more importantly it’s also International Women’s Day. That, in combination with the World Tennis Day (March 5th), has spurred us to organize a special Women VS Men tournament. So ladies, gather your girlfriends and come and beat those men to show them who’s boss! We of course also need men to fill the other team so come and join!
The activity will be held on Wednesday the 7th at 8 pm at the NVLTB and free of costs.
8 maart. Het lijkt misschien een normale donderdag. Wij van de accie denken daar heel anders over. Wist je bijvoorbeeld dat het de geboortedag is van 2x Wimbledon kampioene Petra Kvitova? Daarnaast is het ook de internationale dag van de vrouw. Dat, in combinatie met de wereld tennis dag op 5 maart, heeft ons aangezet tot het organiseren van een vrouwen tegen de mannen toernooi. Dus dames, verzamel je vriendinnen en laat die kerels een poepie ruiken. Heren zijn natuurlijk ook altijd welkom.
De activiteit start op woensdag 7 maart om 20.00 bij de NVLTB en is GRATIS.
No Fields Found.T.S.T.V. Lacoste uit Tilburg organiseert hét legendarische toernooi LUST, dat zal plaatsvinden op 16 t/m 18 maart met als thema ‘The Romans’. LUST staat voor Lacoste Uitwisseling Studenten Tennistoernooi en dat betekent ook dit jaar dat de organisatie je koppelt aan een partner (meestal van een andere vereniging). LET OP: schrijf je dus zonder partner in! Ze willen er zo voor zorgen dat leden van verschillende verenigingen nader tot elkaar komen.
Vrijdag begint het toernooi en wordt er een themafeest georganiseerd met als thema ‘The Romans’. Zaterdag is dan eindelijk de dag waarop de legendarische LUST biercantus zal plaatsvinden. Natuurlijk worden er tijdens het toernooi een hoop activiteiten georganiseerd rondom de banen.

Ondanks de winterse omstandigheden hebben we de afgelopen periode heerlijk kunnen tennissen. Geen enkele reden om de goeie voornemens van meer bewegen, meer sporten en vooral meer tennissen waar te maken. Carnaval is achter de rug, de voorjaarsvakantie is aanstaande en daarna zal er weer gestreden worden om het clubkampioenschap.
Doe mee omdat het leuk is, strijd mee om de eer of omdat jij je dit hele jaar clubkampioen single wil kunnen noemen. De clubkampioenschappen zijn er voor iedereen, voor jong en oud, voor recreant en competitiespeler, voor NVLTB en Walhalla leden. Om ervoor te zorgen dat iedereen in ieder geval een aantal wedstrijden speelt zal er in poules worden gespeeld zodat de strijd niet al na één wedstrijd gestreden is. Naast het meedoen is het natuurlijk ook superleuk om te kijken en vele clubgenoten tegen het lijf te lopen.
Kortom doe mee en schrijf je vandaag nog in!
